When should I book a newborn session?
It’s best to book your newborn photography session during your second or early third trimester to ensure availability around your due date. At Keep It Captured Photography in Dobbs Ferry, we recommend scheduling your session within the first 12–15 days after birth to capture those sleepy, curled-up poses that define classic newborn portraits.
What if my baby doesn’t sleep?
Don’t worry—this is totally normal! Gina is highly experienced in working with newborns and takes a baby-led, flexible approach. At our Dobbs Ferry studio, the space is warm, quiet, and designed to help your baby relax. Whether your baby sleeps soundly or stays alert, we’ll still capture stunning, natural images that reflect your baby’s unique personality.
Do you offer in-home sessions?
While most sessions take place in our cozy, light-filled Dobbs Ferry studio, in-home newborn photography is available upon request. These lifestyle sessions are perfect for families who prefer a more relaxed, personal setting and want to include special elements from their home. We serve clients throughout Westchester County, NY, and nearby areas.
What’s your editing turnaround?
You can expect to receive your edited, high-resolution newborn portraits within 2–3 weeks of your session. Each image is hand-edited to reflect Gina’s timeless, natural style, ensuring that your gallery is polished and ready to print, share, or display in your home.
How do we get to you from NYC?
Getting to our studio is just a quick commute from NYC!
You can take the Metro-North Hudson line from Grand Central to Dobbs Ferry. The studio is about a 5 minute walk from the station. The trip should take 35-45 minutes.
If you’re driving, take 9A North to the Saw Mill. Take exit 17, a left on Ashford Ave, a right on Saw Mill River Road, and a left onto Palisade St. We will be on your right. Plan for a 30-40 minute trip from Manhattan without traffic.
